What’s On Board Every Air Ambulance
Every ICU-configured transfer carries a transport ventilator, multipara monitor with defibrillator, infusion and syringe pumps, suction, a full airway and resuscitation kit, oxygen calculated with reserve for the full route plus diversions, and condition-specific medications reviewed by our medical director before departure.
The medical crew — a critical care doctor and an experienced flight paramedic — is briefed on the patient’s reports before wheels-up and remains with the patient until bedside handover at the receiving hospital.
When Is a Charter Air Ambulance the Right Choice?
Choose a charter when the patient is on a ventilator or inotropic support, when transfer is time-critical (stroke, cardiac emergency, transplant), when the sector has no direct commercial flight, or when privacy and flexibility of timing matter.
If your patient is stable and can lie flat safely for several hours, a commercial airline stretcher transfer may achieve the same result at substantially lower cost — we will tell you honestly which option fits.
The Process — From First Call to Bedside Handover
Share the patient’s latest reports by WhatsApp. Our physician performs a flight-fitness assessment and recommends aircraft and crew configuration. We obtain landing and ambulance permissions, position the aircraft, and arrange ALS road ambulances at both airports.
In the air, the patient is continuously monitored, and the family receives updates at every milestone. On arrival, our team completes a documented clinical handover with the receiving hospital.
Air Ambulance Cost in India — What Determines the Price
Charter pricing depends on sector distance and flying hours, aircraft type, medical configuration (standard ICU vs. specialised equipment), and ground arrangements at both ends. We provide a single itemised quotation with no hidden charges.
As a guide: short domestic sectors (Delhi–Jaipur, Delhi–Chandigarh) typically start from ₹3–5 lakh for a charter. Medium sectors (Delhi–Mumbai, Delhi–Kolkata) range from ₹6–10 lakh. A commercial airline stretcher transfer on the same route typically costs 30–50% of a charter. Call us for an exact itemised quote.
